Black Penny Villas Ubud

*Staff*: All staff was very friendly, helpful, and created a nice atmosphere for us! We got to hear a lot of stories from reception staff and the people in charge with Room special decorations are extremely attentive to details! - *Room*: Pictures are absolutely honest. It looks amazing (seems like a local, high class home). The view was absolutely incredible! The amenities were great. It was very clean, but be mindful of the fact that you are in the middle of the jungle. This means it's beautiful, but also that the wildlife is very close by. We loved it, but take this into consideration. And bring ear plugs for the night. - *Pool area*: Infinity-style, and the fact it is built on a cliff creates an even better illusion of connection with valley/jungle. The view is stunning! You can see the rice field below, if you have one of the lower villas. - *Food*: We always eat as local or regional as possible, and the food we tried here was very tasty and beautifully presented. - *Position*: It takes 20-40 mins to get to Ubud center. The hotel provides a free shuttle, twice a day. Also note that the cliff positioning creates a need to go up and down a lot of steps. We believe it provides the opportunity for some much-needed, healthy movement - but some might consider this an issue. This same positioning gives the lovely views mentioned before, so it's worth it!

We stayed in the private pool villa, which offered a wonderful view. The staff were extremely friendly and made an effort to build a connection with us and other guests. The villa itself had an amazing view, and I really appreciated the warm hospitality. Despite some minor delays, I loved the atmosphere and the scenic beauty around the property.

Villa is very nice. Room is comfortable and spacious. Bed is big and cozy. View of the forrest is stunning. And included breakfast is amazing, very delicious, lots of food included. Stuff is polite.

the view is outstanding , breakfast is delicious and the staff is super friendly and very very helpful. booked a two night stay and i regret not staying more. special thanks to MILA , ANGUS , SRI and most improtantly the driver panya and the rest of the team for making this trip look amazing.

We liked the infinity pool with the view to the jungle, the staff was very kind and friendly, the food was good. The location is nice and they offered us complimentary drive to Ubud center each day at 11:00. Otherwise you can take Grab and in 15-20 min you can reach the center by car. We also like the spa treatments we tried (some at the villa, others at some nearby spa center with which they collaborate - excellent spa therapists). We really enjoyed our stay in Black Penny.
